MIDLAND — Betty Burchell, 66, of Smith Hill Road, Midland, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Born on Jan. 18, 1947 in McKeesport, Pa., she was daughter of Dorothy (Barnes) Moscarello of Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lonaconing, and the late Guy R. Moscarello Sr.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janet Martini.
Betty was a member of the Midland Charge of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her time spent singing in the church choir. She graduated from Glassport High School in Pennsylvania. She spent her last 32 years assisting her husband in ministry with music and she was a certified lay-speaker on the Baltimore Washington Conference of the U.M.C.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Harry Burchell; five children, Jeffery Keifer of Port Vue, Pa., Brenda Keifer of Liberty Borough, Pa., Susan Powell of McKeesport, Russell Burchell of Irwin, Pa. and Harry Burchell III of Xenia, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Guy R. Moscarello Jr. of South Lyon, Mich.; father-in-law, Rev. Harry Burchell Sr. of Ridgeley, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland, on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating.
Interment will be held at Alpine United Methodist Church Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
