Ronald V. Weimer [Frostburg]

FROSTBURG — Ronald Vincent Weimer, 70, of Frostburg, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.

Born May 13, 1941, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Hoye) Weimer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Weimer; two sisters, Mary Theresa Brannon and Doris Pope; and two nephews, Warren Weimer and George Pope.

Mr. Weimer was a supervisor for the Garrett County Roads Department and a member of the American Dairy Goat Association.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee (Moore) Weimer; a son, Ronald Weimer Jr. and wife Jennifer, of Frostburg; three daughters, Phyllis Wamsley and Patty Fiorita, both of Midland, and Marlene Evans and husband Bill, of Grantsville; three brothers, Stanley Weimer and wife Rose, of Gettysburg, Pa., Robert Weimer and wife Doris, of Baltimore, and Thomas Weimer and wife Clarice, of Avilton; a sister, Helen Miller and husband Glenn, of Pocahontas, Pa.; two brothers-in-law, Harry Brannon, of Mount Savage and Eugene Pope, of Salisbury, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Wei-mer, of Cresaptown; eight grandchildren, Mariah Lee Bittinger, David Thomas Bittinger, Lindsey and Wesley Wamsley, Tony and Ashley Fiorita, Caitlyn and Cody Weimer and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller, St., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn III officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery.
