WANA, W.Va. — Brian Richard Secrist, 30, of Wana, W.Va., passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his residence.
Born on April 24, 1982, at Oakland, he was a son of Richard and Rebecca (Reel) Secrist.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse H. and Katheryn M. Reel and his paternal grandmother, Norma “Jean” Secrist.
Brian was a 2000 graduate of Keyser High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and all types of outdoor activities.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Rusty W. Secrist, of Charlotte, N.C. and Justin M. Secrist, of Keyser, W.Va. and his paternal grandfather, William H. Secrist, of Keyser.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Marple officiating.
Private interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, W.Va.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the WVU Children's Hospital Cancer Center at www.wvukids.com.
