FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Betty Jo Royston, 89, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Western Maryland Health System.
Born on Nov. 23, 1923, in Romney, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Virgil G. Henderson and Mildred V. (Pownell) Henderson.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and Former Chairperson of Frederick County American Cancer Society.
Surviving is her husband, Leslie I. Royston and two sons, Lyle Royston, of Knoxville and Dale Royston, of Mount Airy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney, with Dr. Roy D. Knight officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, W.Va.
All arrangements are under the direction of the McKee Funeral Home of Romney, W.Va.
