KEYSER, W.Va.— Announcing the re-birth of Clarence H. “Billy” Jackson Jr., of Keyser.
He entered this life on Jan. 27, 1923, and departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Rosetta (Flowers) and Clarence H. Jackson Sr., of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Catherine Ballard, of Davis, Calif.; a daughter, Lynn Mosser, of Dayton, Ohio and a granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Keller.
Mr. Jackson was a retired supervisor from VEPCO Power Station, Mount Storm. He was a World War II and Korean War Naval veteran; an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, a long-time member of Kiwanis and Boyce Houser Post 41, American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley (Shackelford) Jackson; his two daughters, Carole Woods, of Elkins, W.Va. and Elizabeth Fitzgerald, of Falls Church, Va. and four brothers, William McKeever, Robert Louis, Vernon A. and Stuart Lee Jackson, all of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jerry and James Keller, of Elkins, W.Va., Kris Lowman, of Huber Heights, Ohio, Christie Sexton, of Fairfax, Va., Sarah Swaney of Pontiac, Mich.; two great-grandchildren, Connor Lowman, of Huber Heights, Ohio and Kiersten Sexton, of Fairfax, Va. and a son-in-law, Vance Mosser, of Dayton, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 76 N. Davis St., Keyser, on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sally L. Bartling officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
Entombment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Keyser, W.Va., where military honors will be accorded.
