Virginia “Ginger” L. DeArcangelis [Mount Savage]

MOUNT SAVAGE  — Virginia “Ginger” Lee DeArcangelis­­­­, 63, of Mount Savage, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, to be with her Lord, at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.

Born May 7, 1948, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Virginia Madeline “Mom Dolly” (Lloyd) Woodard and her “best friend” and father, the late Peter A. DeArcangelis.   

Ginger was a member of the Hyndman Ministry Center. She enjoyed traveling, horse riding, nature, especially her farm, and a great passion for music. She loved spending time with her family. Ginger was a free spirited, God fearing, compassionate and expressive woman. She was a force, a legend to be, and a loving mother who was taken too soon.

Surviving are her first and last love of her life, Wayne Colletti; one beloved daughter and best friend, Ashley Dashiell; four precious sons, Stephen Troy Cox and Lynne, Shawn Lee Layman and Cori, Shane Lee Layman, Robert Paul Dashiell II and Leanne, her right hand lady; two sisters, Barbara Lacey, and Anya Andrews; two brothers, Peter M. DeArcangelis and John T. Andrews; eleven grandchildren, her little angels, Corey, Jordanne, Noah, Jonah, Micah, Isaiah, Daria, Derek, Dartanian, Bella, and Madeline; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends, family, and acquaintances.

At her request, her body will be cremated.

A private service will be held at a later date.
