HYNDMAN, Pa. — Earl L. “June” Emerick Jr., 70, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 4, 1943, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Earl L. Sr. and Lillian V. (Kiser) “Sis” Emerick. Also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Emerick; and a brother-in-law, Robert Cwynar.
Survived by his wife, Eileen (Cwynar) Emerick, whom he married Aug. 5, 2008; children, Leroy Emerick of Hyndman, Theresa Emerick of Cumberland, Tyler Emerick of Hyndman; grandchildren, Crystal, Misty, Harley, Larena and boyfriend Brett, and Kaylee; great-grandson, Brett Jr.; brothers, Bill O’Neal and wife Janet of Ellerslie, Ron Emerick and Brenda; sisters, Gloria Jean Leydig and husband Fay, Linda Figard and Dennis, all of Hyndman; brothers-in-law, Walter Cwynar and wife Patricia of Folsom, Calif., Tom Cwynar of Canton Ohio; a special niece, Cheryl Garcia and husband Serafin of Folsom; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
June retired from Allegany Aggregates, Inc in 2008 after 20 plus years. He was a life member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club and the NRA. He loved to travel; he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, Steelers fan, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Chevy fan. He also enjoyed going to casinos. He brought joy to everyone and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Fay Leydig officiating.
Burial will be in Hyndman Cemetery.
