JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Jessica Dawn Yost, 38, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at her home.
Born on May 25, 1974 in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of Brenda M. Yost of Moorefield, W.Va., and the late Roger Foglepole.
Jessica was raised by her maternal grandparents, Glendora Yost of Oakland and the late Mahlon W. Yost. She graduated from Southern High School and attended Garrett College. She also attended Trevecca College in Nashville, Tenn. with a major in Music and Voice. Jessica was known throughout the community for her lovely and talented voice.
While in Oakland, she attended Mt. Top Christian Church and the Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her mother and maternal grandmother, she is survived by a son, Zackary Yost of N.Y.; a sister, Amber Friend of N.Y.; one niece and four nephews; and several aunts and uncles in Maryland and Tennessee.
In addition to her father and maternal grandfather, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ernest and Goldie Foglepole; and great grandparents, Otis and Juanita (Brooks) Cooper and Harry Yost, Sr. and Sarah (McKinzie) Yost.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 25th at 1 p.m. in the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.
