FROSTBURG — Urith M. Ritchie, 96, of Frostburg, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center.
Born April 6, 1916, in Midlothian, to the parents of Howard Alvin Brode Sr. and Rebecca Jane (Barnes) Brode; she is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert “Potsy” Ritchie; three brothers, one sister and two grand daughters, Deborah and Alivia.
Mrs. Ritchie was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian and also attended Central Assembly of God Church, Cumberland.
Surviving are three daughters, Harriett Murphy and husband Ralph, Midlothian, Ginger Fitzpatrick and husband Danny, Frederick, and Nancy Luse and husband Steve, Cumberland; six sons, Clarence Ritchie and wife Renee, Charlestown, W.Va., Gerald Ritchie and wife Diane, Davison, Mich., Larry Ritchie and wife Judy, Gilmore, Walter Ritchie and wife Jane, Norwood, Mass., Rodger Ritchie and wife Sharon, Frostburg, and Darrell Ritchie and wife Jeffrie, Calabash, N.C.; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lucille Ritchie, Frostburg.
Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rob Culler officiating; friends and family can be received one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Ritchie, Jeffrey Ritchie, Jason Vance, David Shields, Paul Luse and Danny Fitzpatrick.
