CUMBERLAND — Bill Warren Groghan, 64, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1948, in Eckart, W.Va., he was the son of the late William Warren and Mary Katherine (Kessel) Groghan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey Groghan.
Bill is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Ruth Ann “Annie” Northcraft; children, Janie Rocketts and husband Jacob, Kevin Groghan, Shirley Steele and husband Robert, Anna Pettie and husband Terry, Tammy Iliff, Tracey Becker and husband Todd, Johnny North-craft and wife Sarah, and Stacy Travers and husband David; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Robert W. Groghan; two sisters, Carolina P. Hines and Mary E. Kessel; one niece, four nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Bill was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh.com) on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at 5 p.m.
