Together Again
KITZMILLER — Mary Patricia Burgess, 79, of Kitzmiller, died on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born on Nov. 28, 1933 in Kitzmiller, she was the daughter of the late August and Hazel (Boyce) Griggs.
She was a cook at the OakMar restaurant for a number of years and a life long member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God.
She is survived by five children, Charles Howard Burgess Jr. and wife Brenda, Richard Alvin Burgess and wife Sherry, Eleanor Ruth Woods and husband Clifton, Helen Faye Smith and husband Melvin, and Brandi Michele Anderson and husband Wylie; daughter-in-law, Patti Burgess; grandchildren, Lori Renee Smith and husband Steve, Jessie Woods, Jason Burgess and wife Amy, Mandy Courson and husband Matthew, Ricki Jo Walker and husband Walter, Elias Dale, Brayan Anderson, Brennen Anderson, Ellen Dewitt and husband Kurt, Chuck Burgess and Sara Pretrey, Heather Berg and husband Randall, Richelle Evans and husband Michael, Brian Smith and Melvin Smith Jr. and wife Kim; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grand-children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard Burgess Sr.; a son, Robert Allen Burgess; and a brother, Samuel Griggs.
