FROSTBURG — Suzanne (Filer) Walters, 63, of Frostburg, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 20, 1949 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of Lillian (Richardson) Filer and the late Elwood Filer. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Bryan Muir.
Suzanne loved doing arts and crafts. She also loved spending time with her family. Her grand-daughter was her "pride and joy”. Suzanne will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her daughter, Suzanne Muir and her grand-daughter Tessla Muir, both of Inwood W.Va.; her sister, Diane Morgan and husband Gerald of Midlothian; her brother, Elwood Filer Jr. and wife Barbara of Frostburg.
As per her request she will be cremated.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. 108 Virginia Ave. Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. to help defray expenses.
