FROSTBURG — William Joseph Kennell, 74, of Kemp Drive, passed away at his home on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Born Dec. 23, 1938, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Samuel Kennell and Angela (Atkinson) Kennell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Kennell.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Westvaco after 39 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary A. (Bingaman) Kennell; a son, Michael Allen Kennell, Frostburg; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Meyers and husband James, Avilton; and grandchildren, Samuel Kennell, Blake Meyers, and Sydney Kennell.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at St. Michael Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant.
