Senate Bill 204: Introduced by Sen. George Edwards, this bill would allow bowhunters 21 or older in Deer Management Region A (Garrett, Allegany, western Washington counties) to openly carry a handgun, with barrel no longer than 6 inches and without a telescopic sight, for personal protection.
House Bill 276: Would allow the use of rifles during the firearms season in all of Frederick County.
A number of bills have been introduced expanding Sunday deer and turkey hunting opportunities for Dorchester, Queen Anne’s and Kent counties.
WEST VIRGINIA
The 2013 Legislature does not begin until Feb. 13.
