RAWLINGS — Donald Lee Wilson, 64, of North Conda Way, Rawlings, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at his residence.
Born Nov. 28, 1948, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of Lee A. Wilson, of Keyser, W.Va. and Ruth (Kyle) Wilson, of Westernport.
Donnie was a United States Air Force veteran, having been a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a retired HVAC Technician from both the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and the Allegany County Board of Education. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Westernport, where he was very active having been a Youth Leader, a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Praise Team and a Past Commander of the Royal Rangers. Donnie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, having been a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was also a member of Mission America Replacement Service RV Ministries, and a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 172, Cumberland, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 9606 of Moorefield, W.Va.
In addition to his parents Lee and Ruth, he leaves behind his wife, Denise Ann (Harvey) Wilson; three sons, Christopher Wilson, of Rig, W.Va., Brian Wilson and wife Lindsay, of Moorefield, W.Va. and Eric Donald Wilson and wife Georgeann, of Cumberland; a daughter, Jennifer Milligan and husband Octavius, of Bowie and two brothers, Thomas Wilson and wife Sheila, of Short Gap, W,Va. and Michael Wilson and wife Joanna, of Westernport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Seth Wilson, Addison Wilson, Alexis Wilson, Anastasia Wilson, Angelo Wilson, Shynia Milligan, and Trent Simpson and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the First Assembly of God Church, Maryland Ave., Westernport, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Greg Hammond officiating.
Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, at a later date with full military honors accorded by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 172.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to G.A.M.E. Center, C/O First Assembly of God Church, 210 Maryland Ave., Westernport, MD 21562.
