AIKEN, S.C. — Mary Lynn Idleman Heyl, 83, beloved wife of Dr. Guy Carlisle Heyl Jr., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
Born in Keyser, W.Va., Mrs. Heyl was the daughter of the late Haven Link Idleman and Elsie Rice Nichols.
After moving to Aiken in 1964, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Mrs. Heyl was a great wife and mother. She raised three wonderful children who went on to be successful in their lives.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Barbara Lynn Heyl and her partner the Rev. Marion Kanour, Nelson Count, Va.; two sons, Stephen Scott Heyl, North Augusta, S.C., and Douglas Guy (Jennifer) Heyl, Stockbridge, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Madison Heyl.
Funeral services were held in Aiken, on Dec. 27, 2012.
