BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. — Harry A. Waugerman, 81, of Buffalo Mills, Pa., went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1931, in Buffalo Mills, he was a son of the late Oscar Sr. and Maude (Holler) Waugerman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor (Tharp) Waugerman; a grandson, Col-Lee Bridges; brothers, Roy and Dalton Waugerman; sisters, Amanda Shroyer, Olive Waugerman, Leona Hyde, Clara Leydig and good friend, Jack Lantz.
He was survived by children, Cathy Clites and husband John, of Buffalo Mills, Sheila Hammond and husband Dave, of Greenup, Ky., Karen Bridges, of Hyndman, Harry “Allen” Waugerman Jr. and wife Julie, of Hyndman, Nanette Winebrenner and husband Kenneth, of Grant Town, W.Va. and Jennifer Carpenter and husband Chris, of Buffalo Mills; eight grandchildren, Kristen and Keith Hammond, Dyani Bridges, Allen Waugerman, Megan Wilburn, Heather Winebrenner and Courtney and Logan Carpenter; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Isaiah, Ricky, Cayden, Blayk, Gage, Ceona, Chloee and Rylin; brother, Oscar Waugerman and wife Stella and sisters, Inda Logue and husband Walter, of Bedford and Marion Bohn, of Buffalo Mills.
Harry was a brakeman and later a conductor on the Railroad for over 40 years. He had worked for B&O and CSX. He also did carpentry work.
He was an avid hunter, a member of the NRA and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed family vacations and tinkering around the house.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.
Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hyndman Rescue Squad.
