MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Patricia “Pat” Ann Perdew, 72, of Montgomery, Ala., passed away Dec. 2, 2012, at the Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery.
Pat was born on Nov. 20, 1940, in Wellersburg, Pa., to Lester Emerick and Florence (Lowery) Emerick.
She was a 1959 graduate of Meyersdale High School.
She was married to Melvin Perdew of Cumberland, on Jan. 6, 1962. Before being married, Pat worked at Diehl’s Esso Station as a secretary. She then served in the Civil Service and was also a devoted housewife and mother.
Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald “Sackum” Emerick, Fay “Solly” Emerick, and Leslie “Sam” Emerick.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Perdew; sons, Edward and Gary Perdew and sisters, Paulette “Gerb” McCoy and Beverly Sue Kiefer. She has five grandchildren, Corey, Haley, Christopher, Kelsey and Casey.
There will be a small inurnment ceremony at Greenwood & Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to your favorite local charity in her name
