SUN CITY, Fla. — George F. Helmstetter, 81, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, under the care of Hospice House in Sun City, Fla.
He was born Feb. 10, 1931 in Cumberland to Lawrence and Mary (Cavanaugh) Helmstetter.
George is survived by his daughter, Debra L. Lindsey, Sarasota, Fla.; son, Jeffrey M. Helmstetter; daughter-in-law, Jennifer L. Lynn. He is also survived by brothers Joe and Thomas Helmstetter, and sister Pauline Stotler.
He was preceeded in death by brothers, Ed Helmstetter, Mike Helmstetter, Bill Helmstetter, and sisters Virginia Padfield and Jane Mull.
George served in both the Air Force and Marine Corp. Reserves.
At his request he has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cumberland.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice House.
