CORRIGANVILLE — Marybell Lydia Kline, 91, of Corriganville, died Nov. 15, 2012, at Western Maryland Hospital. Born June 8, 1921 in Somerset County, Fairhope, Pa., she was the first child of James Alfred and Edna (Emerick) Leister.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Barbara Thrasher and husband, Ernie, Key Biscayne, Fla.; Lloyd “Butch” Kline and wife, Pam, Cresaptown; Ken Kline, Corriganville; Gary Kline and wife, Lori, Frostburg; and Judy Schroyer and husband, David, Ellerslie. Also survived by her grandchildren: Gale Samborne, Ellicott City; Kevin Korns, Latrobe, Pa.; Misty Kline, San Diego, Ca.; Greg Kline and wife Kara, Potomac Park; Jodi Thrasher Varughese and husband, Santhosh, Newtown, Pa.; Christine Cline and husband, James, LaVale; Ernie Thrasher, Jr., Latrobe, Pa.; Steven Kline, Richmond, Va.; Michael Schroyer and wife April, Ellerslie; Jaime Kline, Cumberland; Jared, Jimmy and Jordan Kline all of Frostburg.
She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Dominick, Gabriel and Evan Cline; Lydia and Madelyn Kline; and Matthew and Brayden Schroyer.
Also survived by 5 sisters: Helen Tomlinson, Manns Choice, Pa.; Hazel Tomlinson, Irwin, Pa.; Dolores Kline, Waynesboro, Pa.; Kay Diehl, Bedford, Pa.; and Thelma Hillegass, Schellsburg, Pa.; and 6 brothers: Elwood Leister, Bedford, Pa.; Ralph and Stanley Leister, both of Glencoe, Pa.; Jacob and Roy Leister, both of Ohio; and Fred Leister, Berlin, Pa. She is also survived by a large extended family including many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wesley Kline, Sr.; an infant daughter, Susan; her parents; her brother, Ernest and sister, Dotty.
Before leaving home, Marybell enjoyed playing bluegrass music on guitar and mandolin with her fiddle-playing father and brother, Ernie. She was much beloved by her siblings and will be remembered for her generosity and kind heart. A dedicated mother and grandmother, and a loving wife to Lloyd, Marybell is perhaps best known for her decades of devoted service at the family business, Kline’s Restaurant in the Narrows, where she touched the lives of many with her generosity of spirit, kindness and sparkling wit.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Leister and the Rev. Dale Lyzbicki officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Kevin Korns, Ernie Thrasher, Jimmy Kline, Jordan Kline, Greg Kline, and Steven Kline. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Kline and Michael Schroyer.
The Kline family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of the Western Maryland Hospital for the extraordinarily compassionate and thoughtful care provided.
