KEYSER, W.Va. — Scott “Scottie” Kinnie, 61, of Limestone Road, Keyser, died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born on Feb. 1, 1951 in Slanesville, W.Va., he was a son of the late Thomas and Betty (Price) Kinnie. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Kinnie.
Scottie was a 1969 graduate of Bruce High School and the MPV Basketball player his senior year. He was a carpet/vinyl floor installer for Keyser Decorating for 42 years. He enjoyed playing slo-pitch baseball and bowling at Mineral Lanes. He attended Assumption Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Wanda (Riggleman) Kinnie; his brothers, John Kinnie and wife Sheila of Gilmore, Steve Kinnie and wife Debbie of Keyser and Dana Kinnie of Keyser; and his sisters, Susie Long of Erie, Pa. and Brenda VanMeter of McCoole. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Kate Riggleman; brother-in-law and wife, Lennie and Lynn Riggleman and sister-in-law and husband, Katrina and Craig Westfall, all of Keyser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted following the viewing at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R. officiating.
Inurnment will be in Saint Thomas Columbarium.
