CUMBERLAND — Ryan Drew Engle, 37, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Passvant University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Born Aug. 20, 1972 in Cumberland, Ryan was the son of Dennis Willard Engle, Falling Waters, W.Va. and Sharon “Sherii” Lee Morley, Cumberland.
A graduate of Allegany High School, class of 1990, Ryan was employed as a computer operator for a local trucking company. He was a long time musician and founder of the death metal group, “Eternal Ruin” which he started in 2001. Ryan brought a bunch of guys together and by 2003, he had his first CD entitled, “Denied Existence.” In 2005, he toured Japan playing the Tokyo Death Fest 1 and in 2006, his second CD came out entitled “Decomposing Salvation” which included a summer United States tour called “Annihilation of the Population Tour 2006” In 2007, Ryan performed in a European Tour and in 2008, he also performed in a Mexican Tour. In 2009, Ryan toured Europe again. He has many friends all over the world that will miss him.
Ryan in is survived by his soul mate, Debbie Talley and her children, Madi and Tate Gornall, all of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his stepmother, Debbie M. Engle, Falling Waters; his stepfather, John W. Morley, Cumberland; his sister, Daphne L. Snyder and husband Rod, and their daughter, Emily Snyder, all of LaVale; his brothers, Philip W. Mallow and wife Eva and their children, Lauren, Tyler, and Paige, Hegesville, W.Va., R. Matthew Mallow and wife Cassie, and their children, Mia, Max and Gabriel, Cumberland, John W. Morley, Colorado Springs, Col. and Mathew Morley, Cumberland; his paternal grandfather, Homer F. Berry, Cumberland; and a extra special friend who was to donate a kidney, Lee Ann Winebrenner.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Celebration of Ryan’s Life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sherrill Dillon officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris Yuastella, Chris Dillon, Jamie Dillon, Ted Marvin, Paul Folk, Matthew Mallow, Philip Mallow and Matt Brown.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
