EVERETT B. THOMPSON [Frostburg]

 

FROSTBURG — Everett B. Thompson, 88, of Frostburg, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center. 
Born April 5, 1923, in Sweedsboro, N.J., he was the son of the late Earl and Ella (Wainwright) Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Myers and his second wife, Delores Truly.
Mr. Thompson was retired candy maker first from A.N. Stollwerk Chocolate Co. and later from Delores Truly’s Candies. He also worked twenty years for Retail Confectioners International. He was a birthright member of the Mickleton Friends Meeting (a Quaker society.)
Surviving are his best friend Mildred “Middie” Miller, of Frostburg; two daughters, Betsy Runner and husband Douglas, of Wenonah, N.J. and Sandra Fisher and husband Randall, of Charlotte, N.C.; two stepsons, George R. Truly, of Cresaptown and Michael Truly, of Frostburg; four granddaughters, Meagan Runner, Ashley Runner, Jessica Runner, and Melissa Fisher; one grandson, Matthew Fisher, stepgrandchildren, George, Matthew, Shawn and Amanda Truly; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Jacob Runner; and one sister, Mildred Harbison, of Woodstown, N.J.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in the Mickleton Friends Meeting Cemetery, Mickleton N.J.
