CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — Robert "Bob" Eugene Frankenberry, 71, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville, Tenn.
He was born April 24, 1941 in Allegany County, son of the late Cyrus Edwin and Eula Virginia (Jones) Frankenberry
Mr. Frankenberry was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Florida, VFW in Tennessee and DAV in Maryland. A retired Staff Sargeant for the United States Army, Bob served a tour in Korea and two tours in the Vietnam War. Bob and Helen met while both were stationed at Presido of San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Frankenberry, Crossville; children, Trayce, Mark, Russell, and Megan; step-daughters, Shirley and Michelle; sisters, Virginia and husband, Robert Crump, Hagerstown, Ruth Lancaster, Mount Savage, Emma Jean Malloy, Frostburg; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Frankenberry, Florida; several nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Bartholomew; brothers, Carl Frankenberry and George Sr. and wife, Shirley Frankenberry; brothers-in-law, John "Link" Lancaster and Lawrence "Butler" Malloy
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. with Bro. Vern Daugherty officiating.
