JUDY E. NESSELRODT [Brandywine, W.Va.]

BRANDYWINE, W.Va. — Judy Ellen Nesselrodt, 70, of Brandywine, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va.  

She was born in Cumberland, on Nov. 21, 1942, the daughter of the late William Vance White Sr. and the late Maxine (Simpson) White.  

On Dec. 13, 1963 Judy married Bennie Earl Nesselrodt, who lives in Brandywine. She attended Fort Ashby High School and Brandywine Baptist Church. She was a member of the South Fork Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary, she retired from IGA as a Deli Manager after working for 25 years. She also enjoyed time with family, cooking, and holidays.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nesselrodt is survived by three sons, Terry Earl Nesselrodt and wife Debbie, Tony Nesselrodt and wife Terri, Bennie Lee “Skeeter” Nesselrodt and wife Carolyn, all of Brandywine; four sisters, Sheila Rice and husband John of Short Gap, W.Va., Marlene Bantz and husband Clyde of Cumberland, Nancy McGann and husband Denny of Short Gap, Jodie Steward and husband John of Wiley Ford, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Joyce White of Deal; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Nesselrodt (Nov. 8, 2012); and a brother, William “Henry” White.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va.  the Rev. Mike McCulla and Larry Banner will officiate a Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel following visitation on Wednesday.  

Memorials may be made to Pendleton County Rescue Squad or South Fork Volunteer Fire Company.
