CUMBERLAND — Clifton H. Harman Sr., 77, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born Feb. 26, 1935 in Cumberland he was the son of the late Doc Hesper Harman and Mary Viola (Harman) King. He was also preceded in death by one son, Clifton H. Harman Jr. Mr. Harman was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Clifton was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club and the Goodfellowship Club. He was also a United States Veteran and served in the Navy for four years.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Janet E. Harman; two daughters, Vickey Breeze and husband Ben, and Krista St. Clair and husband Scott, both of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Mike Twigg, Ashley Hawbaker, Mathew Daley, Madison Breeze, Scott St. Clair, Stephen St. Clair, Chezneigh St. Clair, Attleigh St. Clair; one great-grandchild Lillian Hawbaker.
As per Clifton’s request, he will be cremated.
A private graveside inurment will be held at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship at the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church social hall on Tuesday at noon.
