ROYERSFORD, Pa. — Genevieve (Stickley) Hartman, 81, of Royersford, Pa., formerly of Rt. 4, Keyser, W.Va., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Pottstown Hospital, Pottstown, Pa.
Born on Aug. 12, 1931, at Russeldale, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Dora Ray and Eva Lorena (Shoemaker) Stickley. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald R. Hartman, on April 19, 2012; a daughter, Kathryn Lynch; three brothers, Ray T. “Toby” Stickley, Darlton K. “Bud” Stickley and Robert W. “Bob” Stickley and a sister, Margaret Amtower.
Mrs. Hartman was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Purgitsville, WV.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Hartman and wife Jennifer, of King George, Va. and David Hartman, of Royersford; a son-in-law, John Lynch, of Orlando, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Anne Stickley, of Keyser; five grandchildren, Keith, Caroline and Lee Hartman, Erika Pauley and Lyndsey Shealy and a great-granddaughter, Harper Grace Shealy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gwen Wolford officiating.
Interment will be in the Elijah High Cemetery, Purgitsville, W.Va.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, c/o Emma Jean Stickley, HC 66, Box 11-B, Purgitsville, WV 26852.
