RICHMOND, Va. — Charles Conrad Metzger passed away Jan. 6, 2013, in Richmond.
Born Dec. 26, 1947, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Edna Lorraine (Moorehead) and John Vincent Metzger.
Chuck was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1965. He was gainfully employed for many years in Richmond until his retirement due to illness.
He is survived by a son, Charley, and daughter-in-law Terri, with whom he resided; grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Jessica, all of Richmond; two brothers, Roy Metzger and wife Mary Jo of Short Gap, W.Va. and Gerald “Jerry” Metzger, Cumberland; two sisters, Pat Metzger and Carol Bryner, both of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
At his request, he was cremated and had no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of donor’s choice.
