LEVELS, W.Va. — Jacquelin Harper McDonald, 97, of Levels, went to rest with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
Born on Sept. 10, 1915 at Onego, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Mallow) Harper.
Jacquelin was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Devoted to God and family, she was a member of the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren at Levels, previously a member of the Springfield Asssembly of God Church.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Stern McDonald; a son, Teddy McDonald; an infant son, Peter Paul McDonald; five brothers, Carl Harper, Eston Harper, Harlen Harper, Elwood Harper, Stelman Harper; and five sisters, Mabel Mallow, Elva Harper, infant Ica Dora Harper, Joy Hedrick and Ethel Sites.
Surviving is a son, Dewey R. McDonald and wife Lana of Short Gap, W.Va.; a daughter, Dotsie N. Beckman of Levels; a brother, Chester Harper of Elkins, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, Levels, with Pastor Robert Combs, and Pastor John and Cindy Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McKee Funeral Home, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney, W.Va.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Romney.
