OCALA, Fla. — Waneta Lorraine (Crowe) Michaels, 60, formerly of LaVale, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at her home in Ocala.
She was born on April 8, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Evelyn L. (Swan) Crowe.
Waneta is survived by her husband, Kenneth F. Michaels, of Ocala; daughters, Shanna Moses and husband Dwayne, of Alexandria, Va. and Heather Ott and husband James, of Fort Hood, Texas; grandchildren, Shawn, Colin and Audrey Moses and Brittany, James and Madison Ott; uncle and aunt, Carl Crowe and wife Marion, of Winter Haven, Fla. and many Swan and Crowe cousins.
She was a 1971 graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland.
At Waneta’s request, she was cremated.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cumberland on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. with burial in the Laurel Hills Cemetery in Barton immediately following.
The family respectfully requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a charity of the giver’s choice in Waneta’s name.
