MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Mabel Alice Smith Engle, 97, of Meyersdale, Pa., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the Golden Living Center, Meyersdale.
Born July 4, 1915, in Bittinger, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Franklin and Mary Jane (Buckel) Brenneman. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lester V. Smith, in 1964; her second husband, Clifford F. Engle, in 2006 and one brother, Robert O. Brenneman.
Mabel was a homemaker.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald E. Smith and wife Sandi, of Midland, and Robert V. Smith and wife Mary Lou, of Bittinger; one grandson, Robert T. Smith and wife Bonnie, of Grantsville; three great-grandchildren, Robert T. Smith, Megan Smith and Devin Smith all of Grantsville and two nieces, Jackie Warren, of Avilton and Susan Brenneman, of Grantsville.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m.
Services will follow at 2 p.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Tom Holliday officiating. The committal service will be conducted in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
