CUMBERLAND — Betty Jennie (McDonald) Brant, 80, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in Cumberland.

Born Aug. 14, 1932, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Sadie (Knepp) McDonald. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Brant.

Surviving are her loving companion, John Ballou; three sons, Larry Brant and wife Peggy, of Middletown, Lewis Brant and wife Debbie, of Cumberland and Howard Brant and wife Rita, of Glen Rogers, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Christopher, Erin, Shane and wife Amanda, Shannon, Erica and husband Nathaniel and Amie and five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Logan, Alexis, Dakota and Aubrey.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh.com) on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser, the Rev. Sherrill Dillon and the Rev. Wayne Sloan officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Hermon United Methodist Church, 13200 Mount Hermon Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.
