BURLINGTON, Wash. — Helen Clayton Bennett, formerly of Cumberland, died in the afternoon of Nov. 3, 2011, at her home in Burlington. She was 70 years old.
A graduate of Allegany High School, Helen was born on March 29, 1941, to William and Justina (Roby) Clayton. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Judy Creegan.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Bennett; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Robert J. Doran III; grandchildren, Evelyn Doran, Abigail Doran, Elijah Doran and Margaret Doran; brothers, William Clayton, Donald Clayton and Robert Clayton; sister, Kay Keifer and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
Helen’s family invites those who knew her to gather at Puccini Grille, 12901 Ali Ghan Road NE, Cumberland, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in a celebration of thanksgiving for Helen’s life.
