BEDFORD, Ohio — Frederick G. Matthews, 59, of Bedford, formerly of Lonaconing, enter-ed into rest on Nov. 18, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Cumberland, to the late Gilbert and Pauline (Brooks) Matthews; beloved husband of Gloria (Helsel); dearest brother of Nancy (late Eugene) Flinn, Irene (Gary) Kimmell and Diane (Richard) Whetzel, all of the Cumberland area; dear brother-in-law of Monty (late Santina) Helsel; uncle of Angela O’Rourke, Rhonda Downton, Harry Riggleman and Logan Rebar.
Services took place on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the St. John Funeral Home, Bedford. Cremation took place the following day.
A memorial service and interment of cremains at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow, will take place at a later date.
The family suggested contributions to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110 in memory of Frederick G. Mat-thews.
