CUMBERLAND — Margaret Elizabeth Bunner, 71, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. She was a devoted Christian, wife and mother and cared for all.
Born Oct. 26, 1941 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Alfred and Virginia (Keller) Cunningham. She was also preceded death by a daughter, Paula Raye Bunner; a grandson, Kaleb Barthalow; and two brothers-in-law, Jesse Bunner and Bud Bunner.
Margaret was a devoted homemaker. She loved cooking and going to yard sales. Mrs. Bunner never met a stranger, and always openly welcomed folks. She loved spending time with her family, and especially loved her dog Uppy.
Surviving are her loving husband. Raymond Paul Bunner; five children, Sheila Whorton and husband Eddie, Frederick Bunner and wife Kaye, Tina Barthalow and fiancé Dave Gokey, Raymond Junior Bunner; special grandson, Brandon Bunner; sister, Debra Easton and husband Louie; brother, Russell Keller and wife Chris; special sister-in-law, Mary Grace Lassister; sister-in law, Sharon Goff and husband Bud; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Milton Morris officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Horsman, Herman Sowers, Carl Horsman, Lewis Sowers, Danny Bunner, Tyler Innskeep.
