FROSTBURG — Ruby Virginia Auvil, 78, of Frostburg, formerly of Oakland, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at home.
She was born March 9, 1934, in Leadmine, W.Va., the daughter of the late Woodrow A. and Kathryn (Canan) Jackson.
Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 71, Oakland.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Auvil and wife Connie, of Florida and Jeff Auvil, of Midlothian; three sisters, Ada Green and husband Ronald, of Oakland, Carol Wotring, of Aurora and Betty Troshak, of Oakland; special friend, Joe J. Beeman, of Barton; four grandchildren, David Ratliff, Amelia Ratliff, Michelle Rodeheaver all of Oakland and Stephanie Adams, of Florida; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, PA, 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jim Jeffries, of the LaVale Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
