SALISBURY — Kenneth Ray Resh, 85, of Salisbury, died Nov. 10, 2012, at Goodwill Mennonite Home.
Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Accident, he was a son of the late Thomas and Cora (Schroyer) Resh.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Clayton Resh, Elra Galen Resh, and Cecil Eugene Resh.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Butler) Resh, whom he was married to for 65 years; his sons, Gary and his wife Debbie, Randy and his wife Carol, and Jay Resh, all of Grantsville; his daughters, Sherry and her husband John Robertson, of Annapolis, and Beverly Resh, of Meyersdale; his grandchildren, Natalie (Dave) Carr, Nanette (Doug) Johnson, Angie (Gary) Hay, Monica Wilson and her fiancee, Steve Troutman, Jamie (Jamey) Kamp, Erin (David) Rounds, Nathan Resh, Joshua (Samantha) Resh, Jackie Daniels, Joel Resh, Jared and his fiance Jen Silsinger, and Courtney (Aaron) Mitchell; his great-grandchildren, Bobby, Tad, and Jon Hay, Felicia Wilson, Josie Kamp, and Carolyn Daniels; and a sister, Erma Jean Broadwater.
He was a Corporal in the 209th Military Police Company in the Army of the United States, serving in World War II. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Local 37. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade, but a farmer by heart. He loved sitting on the front porch at the farm and riding his 4-wheeler.
