Top-ranked Fort Hill stretched its winning streak to double figures, but got a test from Hampshire in doing so as the Sentinels beat the Trojans 65-59 in overtime Saturday afternoon in Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference basketball.

Maurice Williams scored a game-high 24 points and Frosburg State University needed overtime to defeat Salisbury 77-74 Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Arena on Senior Day.

Mountain Ridge flew out to 12-0 lead on Bishop Walsh and the Miners never looked back, keeping the size of their advantage around 10 points all evening during a 48-33 upset of the No. 5 Spartans Friday on Haystack Mountain.

Eaglin’s 33 leads Anne Arundel over Allegany, 79-70
Kevin Eaglin scored 33 points on the back of seven three-pointers, scoring 19 points in the second half as Anne Arundel pulled away from Allegany College of Maryland for a 79-70 win over the Trojans Saturday in their final regular season game.

Allegany outscored Anne Arundel 38-10 during the second half as the Trojans finished the regular season on a two-game winning steak after beating the Pioneers 62-27 Saturday in Maryland JUCO action.

OAKLAND — D.J. Ritchie had a massive night of 31 points and 16 rebounds, helping the No. 3 Southern Rams to a double-digit lead on top-ranked Fort Hill by halftime before carry on for the 68-50 upset Friday night in Oakland.

ACM rolls over Howard, 65-36
CUMBERLAND — Allegany College of Maryland defeated Howard Community College in a 65-36 rout at home Friday night led by Madi Nightengale’s 19 points.
The Trojans dominated the first half, outscoring Howard 40-20. -
Winner’s 19 sends MR over Allegany
FROSTBURG — Shae Winner scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had three steals to lead Mountain Ridge past Allegany 52-39 Friday night at Mountain Ridge High School.
