FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Frostburg State scored 19 goals on only 26 shots, with 12 players getting goals, to end a five-game skid with a 19-3 romp over Methodist College Tuesday.
Ali Kapustin scored three goals and assisted on three others to lead the Frostburg attack. Megan White and Megan Dent-Carman had two goals and one assist, and Brittney Miller, Diana Turbeville and Rachel Dwyer two goals each.
Taylor Cassatt, Katelyn Kesecker, Brittany Spencer and Chelsea Feeney had a goal and an assist. Jessica Beaty and Malory Brunett had one goal.
Karoline Miller got the win and shutout in goal with eight saves.
Both teams are now 2-6. Frostburg plays at Shenandoah (Va.) today.
