KEYSER, W.Va. — Keyser’s Evan Coleman was the only golfer to shoot in the 30s as he helped the Golden Tornado defeat Mountain Ridge and Frankfort in high school golf Monday afternoon at Polish Pines Golf Course.
Keyser finished with a 177, 19 ahead of Mountain Ridge’s 196. Frankfort shot a 204.
Coleman was the low medalist with a 36, or two over par. Teammates Matt Landes added a 46, Josh Bane a 47 and Andrew Riley a 48.
Mountain Ridge’s Grey Edwards had the tournament’s second-lowest score with a 45. Aaron Raines shot a 47 and Alexis Gaughan and Brandon Markwood each had a 52. Ryan Hutchinson led Frankfort with a 49. Emily Courtney shot a 51 and Blake Barker and Tyler Conley each finished with 52s.
All three teams play again today at Fore Sisters Golf Course along with Allegany beginning at 4 p.m.
