Potomac pounds Butler in sweep

 

BUTLER, Pa. — Micah Parker scored a game-high 24 points to lead Potomac State in a 99-52 drubbing of Butler in junior college men’s basketball Monday night.
The Catamounts jumped out to a 18-3 lead and cruised the rest of the way. They held a comfortable 52-36 lead at the break, and outscored Butler 47-16 in the second half.
Parker led five Potomac State scorers in double figures. Peyton Hartman had 15 points, Carlton Drake 13, Darren Graham 12 and Reyvaughn McKenney 10.
Kevin Rummel had 17 points and Antawane Davis 16 for Butler.
Potomac State, 12-7 overall and 3-2 in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference, plays at Penn Highlands Community College on Saturday at 2 o’clock.

BUTLER, Pa. — Ashley Hines overwhelmed Butler, scoring 26 points and also getting 16 rebounds and three blocks to lead Potomac State to a 86-50 win in Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference women’s basketbal.
Potomac State dominated on defense and on the boards throughout and took a 49-21 lead into halftime.
Butler was more competitive in the second half as they were outscored 37-29, but it wasn’t enough to threaten the outcome of the game. 
Ali St. Van scored 24 points for Potomac State, Alexis Steele had 17 and Brandi Robertson added 10 points and six assists.
Casey Fleeger led Butler with 22 points.
Potomac State, 9-6 overall and 4-0 in the conference, plays at Allegany College of Maryland on Friday at 7 p.m.
