Choral festival will not be held today
FROSTBURG — The Allegany County Choral Festival scheduled for today at Mountain Ridge High School has been canceled.
School board holds special session
CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Board of Education will hold a special work session Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Central Office, 108 Washington St.
The legislative audit will be reviewed and the superintendent’s proposed budget will be presented.
Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesdays
CUMBERLAND — Celebrate Recovery, which is a biblically balanced approach to help people overcome personal issues, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Grace Memorial Community Church located on Bishop Walsh Drive in Cumberland.
At these meetings, individuals meet together to work through the Christ-centered 12 steps and recovery principles found in the Beattitudes.

Weekend bridge work continues
CUMBERLAND — Exit 43B on Interstate 68, which is the westbound ramp to Industrial Boulevard, will be closed Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. so that a platform can be built as part of the renovation of the Crosstown Bridge, according to the State Highway Administration.
Neighborhood watch invites residents
CUMBERLAND — The North End Neighborhood Watch will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. and has issued an invitation to West Side residents as well.
The meeting will be held at Cumberland Neighborhood Services, 400 N. Mechanic St.
Mountain Ridge adds honor student
FROSTBURG — Ninth-grader Lucas Lowery has been named to the Mountain Ridge High School A-B honor roll. He was inadvertently omitted from the earlier list.
