Extreme makeover

Tom Fitch, foreground, and Ron Sanders, both members of New Life Assembly of God Church of Sterling, Va., work Thursday inside South Cumberland Assembly of God Church on Elder Street. The city church received a grant that is being used to renovate the sanctuary and kitchen areas. Twenty-five members of the Potomac Men’s Ministry from 10 Assembly of God churches in Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia are completing the three-day project, which will be unveiled Sunday.
