Cumberland — Lodge will host students

CUMBERLAND — Queen City Lodge 131 will host the Allegany College of Maryland human services class Monday at 6 p.m. at the lodge.

The lodge will open at 7 p.m. and the work will be done in the Fellowcraft and Master Mason degrees.

T-N Retirees meet Tuesday

CUMBERLAND — The Times-News Retirees will meet for lunch Tuesday at noon at Geatz’s Restaurant, Paca Street.

Salem units meet Tuesday

CUMBERLAND — Salem Council 11 and Salem, Chapter 18 will hold a practice session Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, Greene Street.

Church plans fundraiser

CUMBERLAND — Emmanuel Episcopal Church will hold a fundraiser for Haiti Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 16 Washington St., Cumberland.

Various national vendors will be on hand, including Tastefully Simple, Homemade Gourmet, Southern Living at Home, Tupperware and Silpada Jewelry.

 Food and refreshments will be sold.

The event is open to the public and all proceeds will benefit the relief effort in Haiti.

Board meeting slated

CUMBERLAND — The Local Management Board of Allegany County, Inc. will meet March 16 at 8:30 a.m. in Conference Room 2, ground floor, Allegany County Health Department, 12501 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland.

Auxiliary meeting set

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany-Garrett County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Associations Ladies Auxiliary will meet Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Baltimore Pike Fire Hall, Cumberland.

Those attending are to note the change in date.
