CUMBERLAND — Braddock Middle School’s Drama Club will present the musical “The Music Man, Junior,” on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. Patrons are asked to enter at the back of the school. General admission will be paid at the door.
Meredith Willson wrote the musical about her hometown of Mason City, Iowa. She spent eight years perfecting it, and it was produced in 1957.
The show features songs such as “76 Trombones” and “Til There Was You.” Braddock’s cast includes Michael Nelson as Harold Hill and Rebecca Bensavage as Marian. Other cast members include Tyyonn Powell, Daniel Brode, Kamryn Logsdon, Christian Reynard, Sawyer Jenkins, Bracken McDaniel-Weissler, Caden Rank, Matt Puffinburger and Ahkeir Woods.
Denise Adams, Delanie Blubaugh, Margot Robinette, Kayla Glotfelty, Skylar Burford, Nicole Morral, Kayla Kesner, Sierra Golden, Abigail Hedrick, Samantha Summers, Taylor Bolinger, Lillie Reckley, Zayne Brakeall and Rylan Lutz are also cast members.
Teen dancers include Grace Bryan, Timmy Growden, Carmen Love, Zoe Watkins, Madeline Adwell, Tessa Deatelhauser, Tyler Winters, Lacey Day and Abigail Bloom.
Materials for the production were supplied by Music Theatre International.
