LAVALE — The AMC Theatres will end its operation at the Country Club Mall on Sunday, according to Jan Beem, marketing director of the Country Club Mall.
The lease for the space occupied by AMC Theatres expires at the end of July and the closing is the result of the lease expiration, Beem said.
“Another operator is taking immediate possession,” said Beem.
“It is not a space that we expect to remain open for very long at all, depending on various factors.”
Mark Nightingale, manager of the AMC Theatres at Country Club Mall, confirmed that the business is closing.
“We are really excited about a new company that is already under lease for the theatre’s space,” Beem said.
“There are a lot of exciting plans for the theatres. It will be a very positive change and a wonderful addition to the community.”
