Rain postpones

luminary service

CUMBERLAND — The luminary service scheduled for today at Sunset Memorial Park, 13800 Bedford Road, has been postponed because of rain. The event now will be held Dec. 15 at 3:30 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served.

Volunteers are needed. Anyone wanting to help may call 301-722-7664.

Civic group to meet Wednesday

CUMBERLAND — The South Cumberland Business and Civic Association’s next monthly dinner meeting will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Living Stone Church of the Brethren.

Reservations should be made with Linda Burgess at 301-478-2326.
