Sportsmen planning Annapolis lobby trip

MIDLOTHIAN — The Allegany-Garrett Sportsmen Association will sponsor a free bus trip to Annapolis to oppose Senate Bill 281, which would prohibit some firearms and restrict others in Maryland.

The hearing will take place Feb. 6 at the General Assembly. To make the trip, contact vice president Mike Griffith at mgriff12213@hotmail.com or 301-707-3138 by Feb 1.

The bus has space for 50 to 55 riders. Those who sign up will receive further instructions concerning departure.

 

Who We Are survey available on website

CUMBERLAND — The annual Cumberland Times-News Who We Are survey is now posted on the Times-News website, www.times-news.com.

This year’s questions focus on crime, gun control, bullying, the U.S. Postal Service and Canal Place. Results will be published in the Feb. 20 edition of the Times-News.



Club will vote on best photographs

OAKLAND — The Mountain Top Photography Club will choose its photo-graph/photographer of the year Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Mary Browning Senior Center, 104 E. Center St.

Members will vote on images that have won a first-, second- or third-place award at one of the five contests held at club meetings.

Meetings are held the last Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the the center’s main level conference room. Visitors are welcome to come to a meeting and learn more about the club.
