These were Americans who want to restore our honor

— I was fortunate to be able to attend Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally held in Washington, D.C. It was a wonderfully humbling and spiritually uplifting patriotic event.

The various speakers and their personal stories of faith, hope and courage in the face of devastation and horrific circumstances were inspirational. It was very moving and there were so many times when there were more misty eyes than dry ones.

Even with over a half million people in attendance, not one single arrest or incident occurred. Pretty impressive, I’d say. The media is trying desperately to disparage this event, but they can’t find anything negative to report.

It was not billed as a political or Tea Party event, and, as such, there weren’t any anti-government signs to be seen. Whether or not there were “tea partiers” there is irrelevant.

What I saw were 500,000 decent patriotic Americans wanting nothing more than to bring America back to greatness through the revival of honor, integrity, spirituality and truth in ourselves and our leaders.
