I would like to take an opportunity to thank one of your newspaper carriers, Alvin Cooper, for the respect and thoughtfulness that he has shown my family and me.
One recent morning as I stepped out of my house to get my newspaper, I saw the newspaper and then one of the yellow bags that our carrier uses to protect the paper from weather.
It took me a minute to realize that it was my wallet in that bag. Obviously, when I came home late the evening before, I had dropped my wallet outside my car. Our carrier had taken the time to place it in a bag for protection and place it right outside my door.
It gives me faith that there are still honest people in our community and peace of mind that they watch out for their patrons.
So, Times-News employers, thank you for the great carrier you have given us with Alvin. And Times-News subscribers, if Alvin is your carrier too, let him know that you heard he is a great employee and a very trustworthy citizen.
